Hi everyone,

My name is Ariel (my msn username is "air" and that's a nickname a lot of people call me - you can call me either).

I've been interested in art for as long as I can remember... as I mentioned when I joined, I majored in painting in college. (I don't think I was that great but definitely passionate about it). laughing

I'm a web designer and have (happily) given all my creative energy to my job for years, without doing any fine art on the side... Well now I'm craving it again!

Of all the art I've ever done (painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, sculpture, -- you name it) figure drawing is the most fun to me so I'm pretty psyched about this group.

Can't wait to go to Daniel Smith for supplies, smell that good old studio smell, and get my hands all dirty again! (oh yeah, and draw!)
love struck

I dunno if you meant for us to just use this thread to intro ourselves but oh well, too late now...

My name is L.B. and I'm a 24 year old male model from the Puyallup area. Been modeling for awhile now and I love doing all sorts of styles. I really hope that I can work with you all! Btw, I'm also available for shoots outside of the group lol

Hi LB!

Yeah, sorry I wasn't clear - everyone can post their intros in this thread or start a new one... whichever is best for you.

Thanks for telling us about yourself!

Hi there! I am Fedora, I live in Seattle, and I would love to be a figure model for your group.
Thank you so much for inviting me, John! I have been modeling since I was 12 years old. I am a musician, a kindred spirit, and I take criticism well, so if you are drawing and I am posing, feel free to speak your mind.

Hi Everyone,

It will be great to be creative in art again. I've been a graphic designer for many years and before that I did some painting and illustration. I'm also a musician. I won't be terribly active in this, but I look forward to drawing on occasion and meeting some of you!

Cheers! tongue

Hi there,

I'm Lupa--I've been a figure model for about 4-5 years now (I'm 28). I used to model semi-regularly for a local studio's figure drawing session back in Pittsburgh, but haven't really made any connections now that I'm in Seattle. I've done modeling for sketching, painting, and photography (mostly references for paintings)

I do work a 40 hour a week, 8-5 job, so I'd primarily be available during the week after 7pm, and on the weekends.

Thanks :)

Hello all,
My name is Kathleen and I am very excited about this group!
I work as an artist and teach yoga--art is my life, everything circulates around and feeds my paintings. I am currently in the process of saving the world through contagious small acts and constant perpetuation of beauty....om....
I've been out of the figure drawing loop for a while and am looking forward to feeding my work with this life and the creations of other people; that feeling of trepidation, challenge--and the wonder of reviewing the results a week-month-year later--amazed that I created that, that it seems real-on the verge of moving....I love the idea of it happening in multiple places all of the time--this could be a very big and interesting network!
I am also available for modeling. I do a lot of yoga and would like to hold some beautiful poses for all of you. I love the idea of the energy that I create with asana and feeding it into the art of others!
I also have access to a beautiful space in Kenmore and perhaps some lofts in Pioneer Square....

light,
--K--

Hi, I'm Rane. I'm new to Seattle, and returning to visual art as well as modeling. I modeled extensively during art school in New England and New York as well as San Francisco. I had the pleasure of working for a variety of groups and individual artists.

I am now looking forward to modeling full-time and making art. I'm available most anytime for creative classical poses or modern dynamic ones inspired by yoga, martial arts, dance or any combination of the other sports I do.

I'm 5'4", 128 lbs, with short dark hair and an athletic and curvy physique. (not quite like the photo that I currently have on my ID. but you get extra points if you know who it is!)

Please feel free to contact me through my ID or call my cell 415 310 9364.

Thank you!
